Opening Day Fitteds

Which DC boutique will you be supporting on Opening Day?

Monday, April 5th is the Nationals first 2010 regular Season game versus the Philadelphia Phillies. But who cares about the Nationals? They haven’t been much of a team so far, but this could be their year.

To celebrate the new season, two of the area’s most well known (and well respected) boutiques have released their own version of the nationals cap.
Commonwealth and Major carry some of the nation’s hottest streetwear and sneakers and undoubtedly have the city on lock. I always make it a point to visit both shops when I return to Chocolate City to visit my family and friends.

Which one do you think is a better choice for Monday’s festivities in the District?

The DC Blizzard of 2010

Crazy! I am so glad I live in San Diego instead of DC right now. Although, I would not have had work for at least 3 days and could have gone sledding with my friends.

The Hundreds x MAJOR

There’s no East Coast vs West Coast beef here!

The Washington, DC shop MAJOR, located in the city’s historic Georgetown neighborhood, teamed up with The Hundreds to produce their 3rd anniversary tee. The Minor League t-shirt is available in Black at MAJOR, and online. The Hundreds will also release their own colorway on their online store.

Last year MAJOR (Never Minor) did an anniversary collaboration with Orisue, based in Orange County. I picked up the shirt last year at the DC boutique. Check it out here.

The Best Show On TV (past and present)

THE WIRE. I am about to finish season 3. Crazy stuff happens when brother crosses brother!
String went AWOL.

Another great show…. 30 Rock.
A lot of people told me to watch this show and like most things in my life (see above), I was a little slow catching on. Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, one of those Irish guys…. and some weird man that sees muppets… good cast. On the season finale there were a bunch of music stars (1 of which I shared a stage). I think Moby was there, wearing a Bad Brains tee shirt, take it off loser. That’s it.
